Restylane is a natural dermal filler made of hyaluronic acid (HA) that restores volume and fullness to the skin. The product provides natural-looking results by smoothing away facial wrinkles and folds, providing subtle lip enhancement and smoothing the lines around the mouth, nasolabial folds and adding lift and volume to the cheeks.
HA is a substance produced by the body, so allergy tests are not required for Restylane injections.
Lift and Volume in just the right places for smooth and natural-looking results.
How Restylane Works
The hyaluronic acid in Restylane restores volume and fullness to the skin through injection into the facial tissue for the correction of moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds.
How soon can I expect results and how long will they last?
Restylane treatment lasts for about 6 to 8 months in most patients, and for up to a year in others. Restylane is generally repeated at six-month intervals in order to maintain a youthful appearance. There is little to no down time with instant results.
Are there any side effects?
Restylane is injected directly into the skin in tiny amounts by an ultra-fine needle, resulting in minimal discomfort. An anesthetic is also included in the clear gel.
The most common side effects are temporary redness and swelling at the injection sites. Make-up can be used to cover the redness a few hours after the injections, and you can resume normal daily activities right away.
